For Scenic Helicopter Flights, lift off from either the Peaks Resort or the Telluride Airport and enjoy one of the most exhilarating and breathtaking flights available anywhere in the world. Don’t forget your camera. Please note our helicopter tours are only available in the winter and are not available in the summer months.

HELICOPTER TOURS

TELLURIDE SCENIC TOURS

We whisk along at 13,000 feet among jagged peaks, adjacent to the San Sophia ridgeline, over Telluride Ski Resort, beyond the Ophir Needles and back to your takeoff location. We are constantly told that these flights are incredible helicopter tours, and as spectacular as any scenic flights in the world.

This 15-minute flight can accommodate up to five passengers and is a truly memorable experience. These tours are perfect for families, non-skiers (or skiers not quite up for heli-skiing), special occasions, anniversaries, birthdays, or anyone looking for a scenic adventure. Telluride Helitrax flies from the Telluride Airport or from our helipad outside the Peaks Resort & Spa.

The Details

Flights begin around 3:30 or 4:00 PM, and check-in is required by 3:00 PM. While there are no landings, you’ll experience breathtaking views from the air. Wear warm winter clothing and sturdy footwear, as you’ll walk to the helicopter through the snow. Please note the helicopter has a total weight limit of approximately 1,000 pounds. While waiting, explore Mountain Village or The Peaks and stay by your phone for updates.

15-minute scenic helicopter tours are offered each afternoon (weather dependent) and can accommodate 1 to 5 passengers.

& CHARTER FLIGHTS

Telluride Helitrax provides location support for film production crews and also provides location scouting, mountain safety, staging areas, and helicopter camera mounting for various video and still photography shoots. We specialize in assisting with filming, still photography projects, and commercial shoots. We are also able to assist with all location requirements and permitting. We’ve handled remote mountain logistics and safety for Feature Films, Television, IMAX, BBC, Documentary, Commercials and more.

We’ve been successful partners with Apple, Montblanc, the BBC, Imax, National Geographic, Warren Miller, Vogue photo shoots, Coors, and various car companies.
